Pupil progress Summary 2018
Epinay School has now embedded a rigorous new system for monitoring and tracking progress. End of year figures are outlined below.
- 77.85% of pupils met or exceeded their maths targets
- 84.56% of pupils met or exceeded their reading targets
- 86.58% of pupils met or exceeded their writing targets

|In reading year 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 all exceeded the 85% target and in writing every year group with the exception of year 5, 10 and 11 exceeded the 85% target||Year 1, 6, 9 and 6th form all exceeded the 85% target.|
|Progress towards reading and writing targets was above expectation (85%) in key stages 1, 2 and 3. Key stage 1 writing 100% of students achieved or exceeded target and in key stage 3 reading the figure was 93.48%||In key stages 1,(87.5 %) 2, (74.42%) and 3 (82.61%) pupils met or exceeded their targets.|
|Progress in writing is better than progress in reading||Boys’ progress is 0.2 steps greater than girls|
|Pupil Premium pupils make slightly less progress towards targets in reading than in writing (4.13 and 4.45) but are virtually in line with non-pupil premium students in both reading and writing (4.19 and 4.46)||Pupil Premium pupils made 3.89 steps of progress whereas non pupil premium students made 3.9 steps progress in maths over the year|
As an outstanding school we ensure our targets are robust and present challenge. Our new system challenges pupils to make outstanding progress. We judge progress towards targets and attainment across the school to be outstanding.
