Impact

New equipment was used to help support the delivery of orienteering to primary classes throughout the school.  This gave pupils the opportunity explore and develop map reading skills, and spatial awareness.  This also supported work in maths in terms of position and directions.

Being part of the Wanderers’ association has ensured primary pupils could access competitions.  Last year a total of 24 pupils participated in tennis, football and athletics inter school events.

Two classes attended weekly swimming lessons to enhance water safety and develop basic strokes as well as water confidence.

All primary classes have accessed primary dance and end-of-term performance opportunities.

The primary yard has seen some initial development with further plans in place for 2017-18.
